SpycerBox Spices up Storage

By Monica Burres

The electronics group, Rohde & Schwarz, supplies solutions for professional film, video, broadcast and post-production markets and released its new SpycerBox Cell by Rohde and Schwarz DVS at the 2014 NAB Show. A tray-based carrier system all housed within a single chassis provides 30 SSD, SAS or SATA drives to consumers.

Ideal for both uncompressed and compressed post-production and broadcast formats, the SpycerBox Cell is powerful enough to work with SD, HD, 2K, 4K or 8K. Nearly all data produced at higher resolutions can be stored seamlessly within SpycerBox Cell’s architecture. With a capacity of up to 36 TB, the SpycerBox Cell is optimal for post-production studios, digital cinema mastering houses, and broadcast studios in need of flexible storages solutions and environments for their vast amounts of data.
